At the initial consultation, your plastic surgeon will discuss his or her ideas on how the procedure will be done as well as what type of results you can expect. He or she should have a large book of before and after photos that you can spend time looking at. When looking at these, consider the height, weight and build of the person in the photos and whether it matches yours or not. If it matches your specs, then it’s more likely you could have similar results.
I needed very little convincing before making my way down to the Cadogan Clinic, one of the very best locations in London (might I add) to speak to Nurse Libbie Wallace, a master in her field. After filling in a short consultation form, Nurse Libbie asks me how old I am. After replying 28, she chuckles a little, but continues… I’m not the youngest client she’s had walk through the door, but she does tell me that she would only ever treat those that actually can benefit from the treatment, ‘It’s important that I manage patients expectations’.
2000 European Union European Committee on Quality Assurance & Medical Devices in Plastic Surgery (EQUAM) "Additional medical studies have not demonstrated any association between silicone-gel filled breast implants and traditional auto-immune or connective tissue diseases, cancer, nor any other malignant disease. . . . EQUAM continues to believe that there is no scientific evidence that silicone allergy, silicone intoxication, atypical disease or a 'new silicone disease' exists."[34]
Do not wear a bra for the first week after breast lift or breast reduction surgery. This will reduce your postoperative pain and reduce the risk of shifting the position of the implants after breast enlargement surgery. You may wear any type of undergarment you choose after the first week provided it does not give you pain. It is not necessary to wear a bra at all times.
However, if a patient underwent surgery in another country, but experiences post-operative complications, he or she will need to pay to travel back to the same destination if they wish to have the same doctor oversee any revisions. Revision surgery performed by a different surgeon is extremely difficult, and thus more expensive. In fact, it can cost 50 percent more than the original surgery. Therefore, it can actually be far more economical to pay for a surgery within the U.S.
In the early 1990s, the national health ministries of the listed countries reviewed the pertinent studies for causal links among silicone-gel breast implants and systemic and auto-immune diseases. The collective conclusion is that there is no evidence establishing a causal connection between the implantation of silicone breast implants and either type of disease. The Danish study Long-term Health Status of Danish Women with Silicone Breast Implants (2004) reported that women who had breast implants for an average of 19 years were no more likely to report an excessive number of rheumatic disease symptoms than would the women of the control group.[26] The follow-up study Mortality Rates Among Augmentation Mammoplasty Patients: An Update (2006) reported a decreased standardized mortality ratio and an increased risk of lung cancer death among breast implant patients, than among patients for other types of plastic surgery; the mortality rate differences were attributed to tobacco smoking.[27] The study Mortality Among Canadian Women with Cosmetic Breast Implants (2006), about some 25,000 women with breast implants, reported a 43 per cent lower rate of breast cancer among them than among the general populace, and a lower-than-average risk of cancer.[28]

Women all around the world want to have an attractive and proportional body. Many times, women are insecure of the way their bodies look just because they don’t think that their breasts are perkier and fuller. Women with small breast sizes tend to look for options to enhance their body shape. While the market provides various solutions, breast augmentation is the most chosen one for permanent and immediate solution to this problem. Breast augmentation can help you attain your dream body by putting implants in your breasts making them appear perkier and fuller.
Breast reduction surgery, or reduction mammoplasty, can instantly and effectively reduce breast size through the removal of excess breast tissue. Breast reduction is a surgical procedure that involves the removal of excess skin, fat, and glandular tissue to reduce breast size, eliminating the negative issues associated with breasts that are larger than the patient desires.  Usually, the breast is lifted significantly and enlarged areolas are reduced.  The tissue removed can also be sent to a pathologist for breast cancer screening if the patient desires.

Most experts agree that Botox can also be a preventative measure for some younger clients, ‘It preserves the skin and stops lines developing,’ explains Spyrou. ‘Botox softens and temporarily freezes the muscles, which means the treated area will stay flat. If you can’t physically frown, then over time, the line will smooth out.’ That being said, there's a lack information about the long term effects of starting botox at a younger age. "The long term safety data in these treatments is usually focussed on older individuals." Says Dr. Justine Hextall, Consultant Dermatologist on behalf of The Harley Medical Group. So as with most cosmetic procedures, there are risks.
Although botox is now more widely available than ever before, it’s so important you see a qualified, experienced expert, even if they are more expensive. Yes, there are some clinics that will charge you super-low prices, but remember, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Before booking into the Cadogen Clinic I read countless positive reviews on Facebook and Google, yes at around £300 it might not have been the cheapest, but I knew I was in safe hands. Be smart and do your research people, after all, this is your face, you don't want f*ck it up.

When trying to determine the implant sized for your body, it can be a tricky question but also a very important question. This is the question that you and your surgeon will spend the most time discussing during your consultation. Breast size and Implant size is very subjective, since what you may consider attractive and desirable may be very different from what others consider attractive, but in the end the surgeon wants to do what is best for you and you will be pleased with. Now with that being said, it is important to remember that not all expectations can be met. This is why it is important to discuss this in detail so that the surgeon can give you feedback and recommendations that are proportional to your body frame. There are instances where patients want to go slightly over what would be considered proportional, and that is fine so long as it is safe for the patient. The operation is relatively similar regardless of the implant size, but it is crucial that you choose the implant size and the resulting breast size that will make you the happiest and attain your desired results. As stated earlier, there are certain limitations. For example, you may not have enough skin, or you may have a breast shape that precludes a very large implant. So, this is something that you and your surgeon can discuss, and they will be able to help guide you to the best decision for you and your desired results.

In some very rare cases, usually about 2 to 3 percent your immune system is not satisfied with simply forming a capsule, and the inflammation continues to the point where the capsule thickens and sometimes squeezes the implant and distorts it. This can sometimes be painful, and in those cases, it usually requires surgical intervention to either release the capsule or to possibly remove the implant.
Platinum is a catalyst used in the making of silicone implant polymer shells and other silicone devices used in medicine. The literature indicates that small amounts of platinum leaches (leaks) from these implants and is present in the surrounding tissue. The FDA reviewed the available studies from the medical literature on platinum and breast implants in 2002 and concluded there was little evidence suggesting toxicity from platinum in implant patients.[67] The FDA revisited this study and additional literature several years later, reaffirming prior conclusions that platinum catalysts used in implants is likely not ionized and therefore would not represent a risk to women.[68]
The use of birth control will not affect the anesthesia. There is however, some evidence and literature that states birth control pills may cause some blood clots or blood clotting issues. If this has been your experience in the past with any other types of surgery, then there are certainly precautions that we can take. We will always use a compression stockings to prevent any blood clots in your calves, and we encourage you get up and slowly start walking once you are able.
Having a breast lift is similar to resetting the clock for sagging. Your breasts will still undergo natural changes due to the aging process, although with proper care you should not experience your previous level of sagging for many years. However, it is important to understand that certain life events, such as future pregnancy or weight fluctuations can negatively affect your results. If you are planning to have more children or you would like to lose weight, it is best to achieve these milestones before having a breast lift.

Your plastic surgeon's experience and reputation make the greatest difference in the cost of rhinoplasty. Here in Manhattan, it is possible to undergo the procedure for as little as $3,000 when it is performed by surgeons-in-training, supervised by senior surgeons. Meanwhile, there are experienced surgeons who are not performing as many rhinoplasties as they would like, and may be willing to perform the procedure for $5,000 to $7,000. However, if rhinoplasty is your surgeon's specialty, this can provide the best chances of achieving the results you desire. His or her fees will reflect that, and depending on where the practice is located, the total cost of surgery can be upwards of $15,000.

In general, silicone-gel-filled implants are smoother, softer and feel more like natural breast tissue than their saline-filled counterparts. Silicone implants feel like a semisolid gel, while saline implants are often likened to water balloons. Silicone-gel implants are also less likely to wrinkle and ripple than saline breast implants. Wrinkling is actually considered one of the major disadvantages of saline implants. The thinner the woman and the less breast tissue she has, the more likely the saline implant's crinkles and wrinkles will be felt and even seen.

A small, removable fill tube is left temporarily attached to the breast implant after surgery. The tube is accessible to the physician by injection through the skin. In a simple office procedure, breast implant size can be varied by adding or removing saline until you have achieved the result you desire. At this point, the fill tube is removed (again, in a routine office visit) and a self-sealing valve immediately closes and seals the breast implant.

The total cost of breast augmentation is $2200 (all inclusive) with saline breast implants. Breast augmentation cost depends on the types of breast implants: Saline is less expensive than Silicone. Our regular price of breast augmentation with silicone (gel) breast implants is $3300. This breast enlargement or boob job cost includes physician cost, surgery room cost, anesthesia, anesthesiologist, labs, surgical garment and 1 year of follow up visits.
The procedure is accomplished by using the skin of the lower pole of the breast (the part below the nipple that sits in the bra cup) to shape the whole breast into a perky dome, then straps are made of the extra skin, anchoring it to the underlying chest muscle so that there is virtually no chance of repeat sagging.  The skin that above your nipple and below your collar bone is utilized to cover the perky, lifted dome that has been created and then a new (usually smaller) circular opening for the areola is placed at the high point of the cone, creating your new lifted, full and shapely breast.
‘You’ll start to see an effect after 3-5 days’, instructs cosmetic doctor Rita Rakus, ‘however it may take two weeks for maximum results to kick in’. For me, my forehead had less movement after day three, but it wasn't until a full week after the treatment that it felt completely immobile. It’s definitely a strange sensation as you go to lift your brows…but nothing moves.
When trying to determine the best implant size for your surgery, this is where you need to be very honest and exact about what you want. There is no need to feel embarrassed or shy about what you are wanting, but if you don’t accurately communicate your expectations to your Surgeon they will not be able to give you what you want. If you want an exaggerated fake look than say so, if you want an enhanced natural look that that is what you tell the Surgeon. Based on the look you are wanting the Doctor will be able make recommendations for you to achieve your desired result. There are so many varieties of implants that it is important that both you and your doctor are on the same page about expectations.
