With the manual injection technique, small quantities of 2cc-5cc of fat are carefully injected per injection pass. This manual technique does result in the procedure taking longer, but this fat does NOT migrate, and stays where it is placed. If I press the area that has been injected, no fat migrates out of the incisions. Thus, the manual technique usually involves hundreds of micro fat injections. With the manual technique, I feel confident exactly where my fat is being placed. I am confident that I am always in the subcutaneous space, above the gluteal muscle. In addition to safety , correct injection methods are essential to achieve a uniform, smooth, natural appearance to the buttocks.
After they are removed, the fat cells are purified using a centrifuge and only the best tissue is used for injection into the buttocks with tiny cannulas (tubes) at various depths for a natural look and feel. The number, depth, and amount of injections depend on your surgeon's particular techniques and your desired results, but generally, a greater number of smaller injections provides a more realistic look. This step of the surgery typically requires just local anesthesia, as well, but can be performed under general anesthesia or sedation if needed. The final result is a rounder, fuller behind that looks natural because, unlike butt implants or synthetic fillers, it uses your own tissues. This procedure can usually be completed in approximately two hours.
The cost of living is different among different geographical locations. In general, the cost of cosmetic surgery tends to be higher in areas of the country where the cost of living is high. For example, a practice located in Los Angeles will change more for a buttocks lift than a practice situated in San Francisco due to the higher cost of living index, which affects all kinds of services and goods in that area, including plastic surgery services and related costs (see cost of anaesthesia and operating room below). Likewise, a practice in, say, India or Turkey, will perform a butt augmentation at a lower cost than in Paris (from $2,400 vs. $7,300 respectively), while a patient opting to have a butt lift in Switzerland will be called to pay, at least, $6,600 for the liposuction alone.
At this point, opinions vary. Some doctors seem to agree that having a tummy tuck and a Brazilian butt lift simultaneously is the recommended way so that the patient does not have to undergo a second surgery and second-time anaesthesia. Also, costs are less if those two surgeries are performed in one go. Other surgeons suggest the butt lift and tummy tuck are done separately. This is because the recovery after a tummy tuck involves the patient remains in any flexed or bent position at the hips while the recovery after a butt augmentation requires that the patient reduces the pressure applied to the butt region, as much as possible. So, for a patient that has had both procedures at the same time, it will be difficult to find a position that makes them feel comfortable. The rest of the plastic surgeons recommend the patient has the butt lift first, where fat is aggressively being removed from the waist and abdomen, and then schedules to have a tummy tuck to address the loose skin in the trunk and the abdomen after they have recovered from the butt lift.
The rules about who can perform injections vary from state to state in the U.S. In some places only a doctor is allowed, but most states allow other medical professionals to work under their supervision. It’s important to look for a provider who is qualified with proven experience. Providers on RealSelf have been screened to make sure they meet the medical requirements for their practice location.
Botox complications are rare and usually the result of a poor injection or incorrect dosage. If Botox is injected incorrectly, it could unintentionally diffuse into other areas, causing drooping eyelids, a crooked smile, or crooked eyebrows. If too much Botox is injected, you could be left with a frozen look until it wears off. The good news is Botox results are never permanent and will gradually disappear over three to four months.
With any autologous fat transfer procedure, the main issue to worry about is how much of the re-transplanted fat will survive and how much will die. Not all of the fat injected after the procedure will live. A good survival rate is about 65-85%, and the rest will die off and be reabsorbed by the body. The reason why fat cells die when reinserted into the body is that they initially have no blood supply. The surgeon will try to inject the fat as deep and as close to the muscle tissue as possible so that the greatest amount will take. Also, there will be a great deal of swelling after the surgery. The two combined factors of swelling and not all of the fat that was initially inserted being able to survive means that results you see the day after the surgery will be different three months down the road. The butt will likely get smaller as swelling goes down and inevitably, some of the injected fat does not take. However, your plastic surgeon will plan for this.
Revisional surgery or additional procedures. Most butt lift surgeries are successful, but due to unforeseen circumstances, lower quality surgical work, or complications, you may not be happy with your results. In this case, you may need revisional procedures to enjoy the figure you want. This would involve additional time, discomfort, and cost. Working with an experienced, board-certified, well-reviewed plastic surgeon can reduce your risk for revisional surgery.
Doctors disagree on the issues of scarring with not suturing versus resolution of the swelling allowed by leaving the wounds open to drain fluid. Since the incisions are small, and the amount of fluid that must drain out is large, some surgeons opt to leave the incisions open, while others suture them only partially, leaving space for the fluid to drain out.

In fact, sitting puts an incredible amount of pressure on your backside; as much as 400 pounds per square inch in certain places, regardless of what your actual weight is. This intense pressure effectively cuts off the blood supply to the healing fat graft, because the new young blood vessels supplying the fat with nutrients are fragile and easily closed.

At DePerro Plastic Surgery the cost of Liposuction is $1750 for the first area and $1000 for each additional area. There is also approximately $2000 in costs for anesthesia and the facility fee. We perform all of our liposuction procedures in our attached surgery center under general anesthesia and sterile conditions. This maximizes your safety and comfort so you don't feel any pain during the procedure. Also, because you're asleep we are able to be more thorough and remove more fat. So in total 1 area of liposuction under general anesthesia would cost approximately $3750, two areas $4750.
Ultrasound-assisted liposuction techniques used in the 1980s and 1990s were associated with cases of tissue damage, usually from excessive exposure to ultrasound energy. Third-generation UAL devices address this problem by using pulsed energy delivery and a specialized probe that allows physicians to safely remove excess fat. UAL is beneficial in people with a particular skin tone, in liposuction of areas that are more difficult to remove fat, that include treatment of gynecomastia, or areas where secondary liposuction is being performed.
These are amazing prices considering I have been performing the procedure for over 15 years! I am a former President of IFATS, an international research organization which studies the properties of adipose tissue, and a Co-Investigator with 2 FDA registered Clinical Trials which study the properties of stem cells in adipose tissue. Our Surgical Facility is a donation Facility for a Phase III Clinical Trial.
Recently there has been much concern in the media over the safety of the procedure. The Gluteal Fat Grafting Safety Panel has concluded that a BBL can be performed safely when the surgeon performs all fat injections into the subcutaneous layer of the buttock. Fat should never be injected into the gluteal muscles or the fascia, which are structures below the subcutaneous layer. Injections into the muscle increases the risk of Pulmonary Fat Embolism (PFE), a very serious complication.
Unlike going to the gym and contouring your stomach by losing pounds of fat off it, it is not possible to significantly contour your butt. One may be able to make some small changes, but the overall shape of one’s rear end is genetic and cannot be altered to a significant degree—until now. The Brazilian Butt Lift plastic surgery procedure finally allows women to have the big, round, curvy booty that they have always desired. The Brazilian butt lift surgery differs from a similar procedure known as butt implants. Both procedures result in a much better looking behind, but work in completely different ways. Butt implants involve using actual implants inserted in the rear end, similar to breast implants. A Brazilian butt lift, on the other hand, uses one’s own body in a procedure referred to as an autologous fat transfer. One’s own body fat is liposuctioned out from another area, such as the stomach, love handles, thighs, arms, etc. and then reinserted into the buttocks, making bigger, curvier, and more attractive.
Although botox is now more widely available than ever before, it’s so important you see a qualified, experienced expert, even if they are more expensive. Yes, there are some clinics that will charge you super-low prices, but remember, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Before booking into the Cadogen Clinic I read countless positive reviews on Facebook and Google, yes at around £300 it might not have been the cheapest, but I knew I was in safe hands. Be smart and do your research people, after all, this is your face, you don't want f*ck it up.
After the procedure, patients are taken to the recovery room for a few hours and then released from the facility. Patients must come with a friend or family member in order to be driven home and cared for at all times during the first three days after surgery. If the patient does not have a friend or family in the area, for an additional cost, Jolie offers recovery houses for patients who have undergone a procedure.
